Settings

Find your way around the settings sections -- from salon details and calendar to payment connections, branding and feature toggles.

Settings

The settings area is where you make Salonnare truly your own. The settings are grouped into clear sections. Only admins have access. Which sections you see depends on your plan -- features your plan doesn't include show a lock icon.

Salon details

Start by making sure your salon information is correct:

  1. Go to Settings > General.
  2. Enter your salon name, address, city and postcode.
  3. Add your website URL, VAT number and social media links.
  4. Choose your currency, time zone and language preference.
  5. Upload your salon logo.

This information appears on your online booking page, in emails and on receipts.

Opening hours and holidays

You set your regular opening hours under Settings > Calendar settings. Days you're closed (holidays, breaks) are managed under Settings > Holidays. Clients cannot book appointments on those dates.

Email

Salonnare sends automatic emails for confirmations, reminders, receipts and campaigns -- you don't need to set up an email server for that, Salonnare handles it. You customise the content and design of those emails under Settings > Email templates. See Email templates. To send from your own domain, see Custom domain below.

Payment connections

Under Settings > Connect payments you link your payment services:

  • Mollie -- Online payments (iDEAL, credit card, Bancontact, ...) and Mollie Terminal for card payments.
  • SumUp Terminal -- Card payments via a SumUp card reader.
  • Stripe -- Online payments, no-show fees and deposits.

Branding and custom domain

Under Settings > Branding you adjust the visual look: accent colour, logos for the login/booking page/emails, and the white-label option to hide the "Powered by Salonnare" badge.

Under Settings > Custom domain you connect your own web domain (e.g. book.yoursalon.com) and/or sending domain (e.g. [email protected]). Salonnare shows the DNS records you need to set and verifies them.

Branding and custom domain depend on your plan. If the feature isn't in your plan, you'll see a lock with an upgrade hint. See [Subscription & billing](./billing).

Two-factor (2FA)

Secure your account with TOTP two-factor:

  1. Go to Settings > 2FA.
  2. Scan the QR code with Google Authenticator, 1Password or a similar app.
  3. Store the backup codes in a safe place.

We recommend 2FA for all admins.

Feature toggles

Salonnare has several optional features you can turn on or off. Go to Settings > Features to manage them. Examples are the loyalty programme, gift cards, deposits and email campaigns. Changes take effect immediately -- no restart needed.

Light/dark theme

The theme toggle is in the sidebar, to the right of the "What's new?" button. Click it to switch between light and dark. The preference is saved per browser.
