Backup and data copy
A common question: "Do I need to make backups myself?" The short answer: no. Salonnare automatically backs up all salon data at platform level. On top of that, you can download a full copy of your own administration at any time.
Automatic backups (by Salonnare)
You don't need to press a backup button. Salonnare runs your salon on secure infrastructure where the data is backed up centrally and automatically. This happens behind the scenes at platform level -- you don't have to set up or track anything.
Downloading a copy yourself (data export)
Want to keep your own copy -- for your records, when switching systems, or just to be safe? You do this through the data export in Settings:
- Go to Settings.
- Open the Privacy & GDPR section.
- Click Export JSON for a full copy of your administration, or Export CSV for a flat client list.
What is in the export?
- JSON export -- a full copy of your salon administration: clients, appointments, staff, products, invoices, receipts, settings and more. This is the file you keep if you want a complete copy.
- CSV export -- a simplified, flat client list that you open directly in a spreadsheet.
Restoring a copy
Salonnare has no button to re-upload an export you downloaded -- this is deliberate. Restoring the salon data itself goes through the automatic platform backups; contact us via the support page if anything ever goes wrong.
Want to (re)load individual data, for example a client list from an earlier export or another system? Do that with the CSV import, which supports clients, services and products.
In short
- Backups: handled automatically by Salonnare at platform level -- nothing for you to do.
- Your own copy: download a full JSON export (or a CSV client list) at any time via Settings > Privacy & GDPR.
- Restoring: of the salon data goes through support; reloading individual data is possible via the CSV import.
