Booth rental and per-stylist payouts

Working with self-employed stylists (booth rental / chair rental)? Automatic per-stylist payouts are an upcoming feature in Salonnare.

Booth rental and per-stylist payouts

Coming soon
This feature is still in development and isn't available for your salon yet. The explanation below describes what's coming.

Booth rental overview

What is booth rental / chair rental?

With booth rental, a self-employed stylist rents a spot in your salon. The stylist runs their own business: they set their own prices, serve their own clients, and get their own revenue paid out. The salon provides the space, the calendar, and the software, and charges a fee for it -- a fixed monthly amount, a commission percentage per treatment, or a combination.

What's coming

We're working on automatic per-stylist payouts. The idea: every payment is automatically split between the salon and the self-employed stylist, so the stylist's share goes straight to their own account and the salon keeps its own commission or rent.

Once the feature is available, this article will explain exactly how to set it up and use it.

Working only with employed staff? Then you don't need this feature. You simply accept payments through the salon point of sale -- see [Setting up payments](./payments). For more about your team, see [Staff](./staff).
