Loyalty programme
A loyalty programme is a simple and effective way to reward your best clients and encourage them to come back. Clients earn points when they pay or book an appointment, and can later redeem those points for a discount at the point of sale.

Enabling the loyalty programme
The loyalty programme has its own settings section:
- Go to Settings.
- Open the Loyalty section.
- Turn on Enable loyalty programme.
That's it -- your salon now has a loyalty programme. The other fields in this section control how it works.
Setting up your points system
In the same Settings > Loyalty section you set how fast clients earn points and how much those points are worth:
- Points per euro -- How many points a client earns per euro spent at the point of sale. Set it to 1 and someone spending 50 euros earns 50 points.
- Points per booking -- A fixed number of points a client earns per appointment, regardless of the amount spent.
- Redemption value (per point) -- How much one point is worth when redeemed. Set it to 0.01 and 100 points equals 1 euro of discount.
- Minimum redemption points -- The minimum number of points a client must have before they can redeem.
Click Save to store your settings.
How clients earn points
Points are earned automatically. When a client pays through the point of sale (POS), they receive points based on the amount spent and, if configured, a fixed number of points per booking. You don't need to do anything -- it happens by itself.
Redeeming points at the point of sale
Points are redeemed at the point of sale, not on the online booking page.
- Open the POS and select the client.
- Add the services or products to the order.
- Once the client has the minimum number of points, the Redeem points button appears. Click it.
- Enter how many points the client wants to redeem. You immediately see the matching discount amount.
- Confirm -- the discount is applied to the order.
Points are only deducted after the payment has been processed successfully. If you cancel the order, the points stay on the client's balance.
Tiers (levels)
Besides individual points, you can set up tiers -- levels such as bronze, silver, and gold that a client reaches based on their total spend.
- Go to Settings and open the Loyalty & segments section.
- Add a tier and set a name, a threshold (the spend above which the client reaches this tier), and a colour for each tier.
Salonnare automatically calculates each day which tier every client falls into. The current tier appears as a coloured badge at the top of the client card, so you recognise your most loyal clients at a glance.
QR sign-up at the counter
With QR sign-up, clients enrol themselves and earn points instantly by scanning a QR code -- no account or app required.
- Go to Settings > Loyalty and turn on QR sign-up at the counter.
- Set Points per scan (how many points a client gets when scanning) and the waiting time between scans in minutes (prevents double scanning during the same visit).
- Click Generate QR code.
- You can download the QR code to print it, or copy the link.
The client scans the code, enters their phone number (and optionally their name), and instantly receives the configured points. If no client exists with that number yet, one is created automatically.
Tips for a successful loyalty programme
- Tell your clients about it. Put a small sign at the counter or mention it when they pay. Many salons forget to promote their own loyalty programme.
- Make the rewards achievable. If clients have to spend too much before they get anything back, the programme doesn't feel motivating.
- Keep it simple. A clear earning and redemption value is easy to understand for both your team and your clients.
