Set up repeating appointments for clients who visit on a regular schedule.

Recurring Appointments

Some clients are creatures of habit — same day, same time, same service, every week. Recurring appointments save you from manually creating the same booking over and over again. Set it once, and Salonnare handles the rest.

Turning on recurring appointments

Recurring appointments are an optional feature. To enable them:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Find Feature Toggles.
  3. Turn on Recurring appointments.

Creating a recurring appointment

  1. Open an existing appointment or create a new one.
  2. Click Set as recurring.
  3. Choose how often the appointment should repeat:

  1. Set an end date or a number of times the appointment should repeat. Leave both blank if you want it to continue indefinitely.
  2. Click Save.

Salonnare immediately creates all the future appointments in the series. They show up in your calendar just like regular bookings.

Recurring appointments are great for regulars who always want the same slot. It also helps you plan your schedule weeks or months ahead.

Editing a recurring appointment

When you make changes to an appointment that's part of a recurring series, Salonnare asks what you'd like to do:

  • This appointment only — Change just this one occurrence. The rest of the series stays the same.
  • This and all future appointments — Update this appointment and every one that comes after it in the series.

This gives you flexibility. For example, if a client needs to shift one appointment by 30 minutes but wants to keep the regular time for future visits, just choose "This appointment only."

Cancelling recurring appointments

  1. Open any appointment in the series.
  2. Click Cancel.
  3. Choose to cancel just this one appointment or the entire series.

If you cancel an individual appointment, the rest of the series continues as normal. If you cancel the whole series, all future appointments are cancelled and your clients are notified by email.

Viewing all your recurring series

Go to Bookings and look for the Recurring tab. Here you can see:

  • All active recurring series
  • When the next appointment in each series is scheduled
  • How many appointments are remaining

This is a handy overview to make sure everything is on track and no series has accidentally been left running.

When a recurring series has no end date, appointments keep being created indefinitely. We recommend setting an end date or reviewing your recurring series every few months to clean up any that are no longer needed.
