Where you were stays put
You are halfway through a product form, the phone rings, you click away. Or you have a list filtered exactly right and accidentally hit refresh. Either way, Salonnare holds on to where you were.
Your place on screen
The tab you are on, the work list below it, your search term, your filters and the page you are browsing all end up in the web address. That has three consequences:
- Refreshing brings you back to the same place. Even after closing your browser, as long as you still have the address.
- You can share that place. Send a colleague the address from your address bar and she lands on exactly the same screen, with the same filters.
- The back button behaves as you expect. It takes you to the previous screen instead of throwing you out of the app.

If you are on the Products tab under Internal use, the address looks something like this:
yoursalon.salonnare.com/app/inventory?tab=products&scope=own_use
Bookmark an address like that and tomorrow you will open straight into the list you usually start with.
If something in the address is wrong -- because a link got cut off in a chat message, for instance -- Salonnare falls back to the default view. You will never end up on a blank screen.
An open form
Which form is open is part of the address too. When you are looking at an appointment or a client card, you can forward that link: your colleague opens it and sees the same detail without having to search for it first.
yoursalon.salonnare.com/app/customers?modal=client-detail&id=482
The back button closes that screen rather than leaving the page altogether.
If a link points to something that no longer exists -- a deleted client, or an appointment you have no rights to -- the screen simply closes. You deliberately do not get an empty form: that would let you save over something you cannot see.
What you had already filled in
If you close a new form without saving, Salonnare keeps what you had entered. When you come back, a bar appears at the top:
You filled in this form earlier -- 12 min ago -- Restore / Discard

The choice is yours. Salonnare never quietly puts anything back, because then you would carry on with old data without noticing -- or, on a shared front-desk tablet, with a colleague's data.
Worth knowing:
- New records only. When you edit an existing product or service, that record is the source and nothing is stored separately.
- Per staff member and per salon. A colleague will never be offered your half-finished form.
- Seven days. After that the draft has expired and disappears by itself.
- This device only. A draft does not travel to your phone.
- Gone when you sign out. Signing out clears every stored draft on that device.
What is never stored
Some data stays out of this deliberately, no matter how far you had filled in a form:
- Health data from the secure vault (allergies, medication, skin conditions). Those are special category personal data under the GDPR and belong encrypted in the vault only -- not in your browser.
- Payment details, such as card and account numbers.
- Passwords and sign-in credentials.
The client card and the appointment editor keep no draft either: their notes fields carry a GDPR warning, which means health data can end up in them.
